Window Tint
Heat control & energy.
Reduce solar heat gain in sun-filled rooms so spaces stay comfortable all day.
Where heat comes from
Sunlight through glass carries visible light, infrared and UV, and all of it becomes heat inside a room. West- and south-facing glass in Southwest Florida receives intense afternoon sun, and reflection from water and sand adds more. The result is rooms that overheat and air conditioning that struggles.
How heat control film works
Spectrally selective, ceramic and multilayer films reject a meaningful share of solar energy, particularly infrared, while allowing much of the visible light through. Some reflective films reject more heat but change the appearance of the glass more. We match the film to the room, the glass and the look you want.
Reading the numbers
The most useful figure for heat is total solar energy rejected (TSER). Visible light transmission (VLT) tells you how bright the room will remain. A good recommendation balances both. We share the published data for every film we propose.
Energy considerations
Reducing solar heat gain can lower cooling load. Actual energy savings depend on your home or building, glass, HVAC system and usage, so we do not promise specific savings. What most clients notice first is comfort: fewer hot spots near glass and more even temperatures.
Glass compatibility
Insulated, laminated and low-E glass each have specific considerations, and some film and glass combinations can increase thermal stress. We confirm compatibility before installation. See our commercial window film guide and home window tint guide.
FAQ
Questions
Which film rejects the most heat?
Generally, darker and more reflective films reject more total solar energy, but advanced ceramic and multilayer films offer strong performance with lighter appearance.
Will my AC run less?
Reducing solar heat gain can reduce cooling load, but results vary. We share product data; an energy professional can estimate savings.
Is heat control film safe for my windows?
We check glass type and manufacturer guidance before recommending film to avoid compatibility issues.
